Artist's Comments

I got a chance to visit the Zoo in Atlanta while I was in town.

The Komodo dragon at the Atlanta zoo was really really cool. I could not take a decent image through the Plexiglas of the enclosure. I tried several times, no luck.

But there was a bronze statue out front…

Technical Stuff: Canon 20D, EF 70-200 f2.8l @ 100mm f2.8, 1/200th Second, ISO 400

Where do you put a picture of a statue of an animal?

Edit: Much to my surprise this image has become rather popular. If you liked this image, you may wish to check out:

Cool! The angle/shape just seems to draw you to the eye taking away from the slight blur at the front of his nose. Great shot!:)

This life is a test. If it were real, you would have been given further instruction as to where to go and what to do.

I couldn't figure out at first look whether it was a real animal or a statue! Heh... wow... what detail. Niiiiice shot.

statue or not, this is very good. Agreed about the blur, it really draws your eye inwards to the whole shot
