At the end of day five we camped at Trinity Canyon. Trinity Canyon was a nice thirty minute hike from camp. Only three of us hiked up the canyon. It was about thirty minutes to this point. The canyon stopped us with a dry waterfall. I took off my ultra wide angle lens after making this photograph. Then we started back down the canyon, leaving behind my lens on the floor of the canyon. I didn't figure out that it was missing until I got all the way back down.
We hiked Trinity Canyon twice that day. Lucky for me the lens was just were I remember leaving it.
This is another photograph that benefited from an HDR composite.
Enjoy.
Tech Notes: Canon 20D, EF-S 10-22 f3.5 f4.5, Photomatix Pro. The shutter speed/aperture information is inaccurate since this is a composite of 3 separate photographs shot at different exposures.
There's just something I really like about this image. I can't place exactly what, but it might be in part due to the angle and just the cut of the rock. Very cool.
